Our beginnings
Our beginnings
The original RebootHer program was started in India
by Anupama Kapoor in 2013. Anupama’s journey
reads like many others in the corporate world.
Like her, Indian women integrated work with their
unfolding life journeys. But motherhood changes
women’s career trajectory dramatically. Throughout
her career, Anupama witnessed co-workers struggle
to achieve the elusive work-life balance, and many
quit their jobs and some even their careers.
Years later, when these women were finally ready
to return, the career break on their resumes became
a big hurdle, as did the perception of dated skills.
When Anupama became a mother herself, she
experienced this dilemma first-hand and decided to
become the change she wanted to see. She resolved
to help more women like herself, and the idea for
RebootHer was born. RebootHer enables members
to access resources, mentorships, training, and
job opportunities.
The RebootHer program in India is the inspiration for
Mindlance launching Reboot in North America.
Our commitment is to take this project and make its
reach broader. We work with diverse returning talent
including returning parents and beyond. We will
leverage Mindlance resources to power success
for Reboot.

What we do
What we do
Reboot connects diverse returning talent to
employers with the aim of making the work
ecosystem open to individuals and groups
who traditionally face systemic bias.
The comprehensive RebootTalent program provides
customized resources, training and mentorship to
our candidates, equipping them to find suitable work
opportunities. We are building a community
of returning talent that is competitive, career
ready and diverse across gender, race, ethnicity,
religion, age and sexual orientation.
By closing the talent gap through returning
professionals, we are able to simultaneously
address core issues at the heart of how fair
and inclusive our workplaces really are.
How are we doing on opening up and creating
options for those whom a traditional business
model would exclude or discount? Welcoming a
returning worker is a signal that an organization
is open to positive and meaningful change
in their workforce strategy.

What we believe
What we believe
We are at an unprecedented evolutionary moment.
We agree that diversity is fundamental to
innovation and productivity. We know this
intuitively, and research supports it. We know
that a diverse workforce is key to social justice,
equality and balance. It is upon us, individually,
as organizations and as members of our
community, to implement actionable plans
that enable change.
This is what Reboot is about.
It’s action and evolution. Diverse and
returning talent have been traditionally
under-represented. We’re saying
that we have a plan for changing this.
And we’re calling on everyone’s
collective will to implement it.

The guiding principles of Mindlance, Mindfulness and Balance,
inform Reboot as well. We remain mindful of how our
actions impact the work and social ecosystem.
We believe that an equal, balanced workplace will be a driver
for equilibrium and balance in society.
